Brad Yochum - MBA

Brad Yochum holds an MBA in Accounting with over two decades of finance and accounting experience. For almost a decade, Brad has both served non-profit and corporate clients in dealing with their overall finance and accounting needs and sometimes complex accounting/finance requirements. He also has served as an accounting and finance professor at Baker College.

In the private sector, Brad served in Controller/CFO roles. This experience was invaluable and led to the eventual start of his own firm serving clients as a virtual CFO/Controller.

Brad is a graduate of California State University Fullerton (BA Finance) and Baker College (MBA Accounting). Brad is most thankful for the relationships he has built with his clients.

Randy Hoffman - CPA, MBA

After earning a B.S.in Business Administration (Accounting) from USC, Randy Hoffman worked as an auditor for Arthur Young & Co. His interest in management and managerial accounting prompted Randy to complete an MBA at Harvard.

For the next several years, Randy worked in private industry, first as a general management consultant and then in several upper-management positions with Bausch & Lomb or their Bushnell division. In 1987, Randy ventured out on his own to co-found Magellan Systems Corporation, an award-winning company that manufactured the first handheld GPS.

Randy’s career as an educator began in 2002 when he became a full-time Lecturer at California State University, Channel Islands in the School of Business and Economics. In 2008, Randy joined California State University, Fullerton as a full-time lecturer in the Department of Accounting, a position he still holds.

Since joining the Cal State, Fullerton faculty, Randy has earned several awards, including Outstanding Accounting Educator of the Year, Jim Bulloch Award for Innovation In Management Accounting Education, and the Instructional Innovation Award presented by the American Accounting Association & Institute of Management Accountants. His career highlights his remarkable ability to solve problems by thinking innovatively.

Simone Pielenz, MS, CMA

Simone was born in Germany, has lived in several states all over the United States and speaks 3 languages fluently. She holds a Master’s degree in Management from UT Dallas and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Simone has been using Quickbooks for many years and has 15 years of accounting and business operations experience with small and medium-sized businesses. She is fascinated by the story the numbers tell about a company and wants to help her clients understand where they stand and where they could be going.

In addition to crunching numbers, Simone enjoys playing beach volleyball, yoga, hiking, and skiing. Whenever possible, she is exploring the world with her Argentinian partner through international travel.
